We all know red, white, and green as the colors of Christmas. In fact, the significance of these colors to Christmas is pretty evident on many Christmas trees, as they are typically the predominant decorations. But what if you don’t use red, white, or green, in your Christmas tree decorations? What if black and white dominates your Christmas pine? Try out some of the black and white Christmas tree ideas below and see for yourself.
Go Neutral

Going with neutral colors all through offers you a modern look. But beyond being modern, the simplicity gives a sense of ease – it’s a holiday, so that sense of ease is fitting.
This inspiration uses a white tree with some brown, black, and white ornaments. You could go with this exact idea, or like us, you could modify a few things. Instead of a white tree, we will decorate a black and white Christmas tree with ombre pattern. Then we will hang the black ornaments on the white side of the tree, while the white ornaments stay on the black side and the brown ornaments stay in the middle.
For yours, you may replace the white adornments with silver alternatives.
Typography

The decoration in this image is not exactly black and white. But we thought it was too eye-catching to leave out. The good news is you can readily adjust the theme to black and white.
You can replace all the purple baubles with black baubles or any other black/grey Christmas ornaments of similar size. Then your star topper can have a black background instead of purple.
Another option you have is to work with a black Christmas tree adorned with white typography and silver/white Christmas ornaments. Then the star topper in this case can have a white background with a black font.
Golden Monochrome

If you think purely black and white Christmas decorations do not say Merry Christmas well enough, you can add some shimmer to liven things up. That’s pretty much what the inspiration above does.
The white tree and the black and white ribbons soaks the air around in calmness. Then the gold ornaments bring in some energy. There’s some flocking on the pine, and in a way, it ensures that the gold decorations do not hush the color of the pine.
Black and White Balloon Tree

Here is another non-black-and-white inspiration you can make into yours. What you have to do here is pretty simple; use black and white balloons in place of the colors used in the picture. Follow the same arrangement, and use black stars in place of gold.
This decoration is minimalistic. So, you do not have to add any extra adornment to it. Even black and white ornaments will not be necessary.
Let Your Pine Be a Birch

Many black and white Christmas ideas we came across are minimalistic, and this one is no different. To pull this off, all you need to do is use a birch tree in place of the traditional pine.
While birch trees are predominantly whitish, they have some black spots. The proportion of both colors gives just the right amount of serenity.
You may work with this black and white Christmas decoration as it is in the picture. Alternatively, you could get a pre-lit version of the tree. Then again, you could hang a few white, black, or grey baubles on the branches.
High-Contrast Black and White Christmas Pencil Tree Decoration With Some Shimmer

This design readily fits into monochromatic interiors. So, if your home is filled with black, white, and other colors in between, this should work for you. You may also try it out on other minimalist interiors.
Besides readily fitting in with the monochromatic interior decor, the high contrast between the black ornaments and the white pine gives more prominence to the features of the room. It brings the frames on the wall, the black floor, and the grey features to the fore.
Warm and Flocked

This black and white Christmas decoration combines modern with warm and throws in some flocking to give the design extra dimension. It works for small Christmas trees and regular-sized trees, making it a great option if you want to place your pine on a shelf or table.
If decorating your room with this design, you can modify the style by replacing the green pine with a white one. Then you may fit a light blue or baby blue ribbon in place of the ribbon in the image.
Pine on Paper

This is one of the most exciting options amongst the decorations we saw. It is very flexible as you can choose one of many patterns to decorate your paper tree with. But besides being flexible, it is fast and simple.
You can make this paper pine with your kids and partner. Besides giving you multiple pieces of paper pine decorations to work with, making them with your family offers you some bonding time.
Wizard Hat Tree

Make this tree, and you will literally be bringing magic into your home for Christmas. If you are familiar with what wizard hats look like in fairytales, you’ll understand why this literally fills the atmosphere with enchantment.
It doesn’t take much time to create this tree. So, if you want more than one of it, you should be able to pull it off without stress.
Pencil-Shaped Pine With Clear Lights

This decoration is not only simple, but it is also a perfect fit if you have limited space in your home. Thanks to the slim design, the pine only takes minimal space. So, you will not feel choked up having it around.
If you are decorating your home with this simple design, you can switch between white flowers and clear lights. This way, you will not be stuck with the same decoration every year.
